The Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel are part of a European initiative from Amazon
European consumers can now more easily find Nordic Swan Ecolabelled nappies, soaps and cleaning products and other eco-labelled products in Amazon's online stores in France, Spain, Italy, Tyskland and the United Kingdom. Amazon launches the Climate Pledge Friendly initiative. The official ecolabels Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel, have been selected from the labels that will guide consumers.
- It has never been more important to guide consumers to ecolabelled choices so that we can contribute to achieving environmental and climate goals. We are very pleased that the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and EU Ecolabel products are included in the Climate Pledge Friendly Initiative. E-commerce has a great responsibility to guide correctly as more and more consumers shop there. And we hope that Swedish consumers soon will be able to take part in the initiative on Amazon's Swedish online store, says Jonas Oldmark, Development and Digitization Manager at Ecolabelling Sweden.

Amazon and the Climate Pledge Friendly Initiative Amazon has started an initiative "Climate Pledge Friendly" Amazon's sustainability experts have selected the 18 certification programs among those the two official ecolabels Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel. Amazon is also launching a concept for compact packaging called Compact by design.

Today, the initiative is available in online stores in in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Amazon has launched a Swedish site in connection with establishment in Sweden, but so far the Climate Pledge Friendly initiative is not included. However, there are eco-labelled products to find.
