  • New report: Sustainability requirements in public procurement risk losing their impact

    Uncertainty over what constitutes an equivalent label in public procurement risks weakening sustainability requirements and distorting competition. This is the finding of a new legal report from the ModUpp 2030 labelling network. The message to contracting authorities is clear: Require labels, but make sure that equivalence is properly assessed so that procurement requirements are not watered down.

  • Martina Flemström appointed new CEO of Ecolabelling Sweden AB

    Ecolabelling Sweden AB, the company behind the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel in Sweden, has appointed Martina Flemström as its new CEO. Flemström joins from her role as CEO of Mondelez in the Nordic region and takes up the position as Ecolabelling Sweden undergoes its biggest transformation in years.

  • More venues to be eligible for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel

    It will soon be possible to Nordic Swan Ecolabel venues, such as cultural centres, exhibition halls and arenas. This is proposed by Nordic Ecolabelling, which has now launched the criteria proposal for public consultation. At the same time, the requirements for Nordic Swan Ecolabelled conference venues are tightened.
