Ecolabelling Sweden announces CEO change to strengthen the next phase of the company’s development
Stockholm, 10 March 2026: The Board of Ecolabelling Sweden has decided that Anna Linusson will step down from her role as Chief Executive Officer. The decision is based on the Board's assessment that the company, ahead of its ongoing transformation journey and next phase, requires new leadership with a different profile.
Ecolabelling Sweden is facing a significant transformation, where the focus going forward will be on digitalisation and efficiency improvements through AI, increased customer focus, and strengthened Nordic cooperation. To ensure that the company has the right conditions to successfully carry out this transformation, the Board has concluded that new leadership at the helm is necessary.
– We thank Anna Linusson for her contributions over her nearly four years as CEO. Under her leadership, the company has, among other things, developed a long‑term strategy and welcomed several new and exciting licensees, including IKEA, Preem and PostNord. Ecolabelling Sweden is now entering a new phase that requires a different type of operational management and experience to drive the necessary change forward, says Anne Årneby, Chair of the Board of Ecolabelling Sweden.
Anna Linusson will leave her position with immediate effect. The Board has appointed Charlotte Kristjansson, CFO, as Acting CEO/CFO until a permanent successor is in place. The recruitment process for a new CEO will begin immediately.
– The Board is firmly committed to implementing the established strategy, and we are confident that this leadership shift will provide the company with the strength needed to reach our goals and enhance the company's long‑term value creation, concludes Anne Årneby.
In accordance with the State's Ownership Policy for state‑owned companies, Anna Linusson will receive compensation for 12 months following 9 March 2026.
