Paper modules
The criteria for Nordic Swan Ecolabelled paper products are subdivided and can be found in three separate documents; the criteria document, the Basic Module and the Chemical Module.
The Basic and Chemical Modules apply for the following product groups:
- Copy and printing paper*
- Disposables for food
- Grease-proof paper
- Printing companies with printed matter*
- Sanitary products
- Tissue paper
There are also other criteria documents refering to the Basic and Chemical Modules:
- Furnitures and fitments*
- Outdoor furniture, playgroud and park equipment*
- Packaging for liquid foods

Basic module
Writable declarations version 2

A new version (3) of the Basic module has been published on 19 November 2020.
It applies to new generations of criteria which have been published after 5 October 2020:
- Copy and printing paper, generation 5
- Furnitures and fitments, genreation 5
- Outdoor furniture, playgroud and park equipment, generation 4
- Printing companies with printed matter, generation 6
Chemical module
Writable declarations version 2
