Application Fee
When a company applies for an ecolabelling licence we charge an application fee. This fee covers the administration of the application and the control visit to the applicant, which must be carried out before the licence can be allocated. In addition, the applicant has to cover travel expenses for the control visit if the manufacturing plant is outside the Nordic countries.
In Sweden, the application fee is 20 000 SEK (excl VAT).
For control visits outside the Nordic countries, we charge 500 EUR. For control visits outside the EU, we charge 1500 EUR.
Annual Fee
Once the licence has been granted, there is an annual charge based on the company's turnover for the products carrying the Nordic Ecolabel to which the licence applies. There are different fee structures for products and for services. The annual fee has a maximum and minimum limit.
Maximum and minimum fees
In Sweden the minimum annual fee is 12 000 SEK (excl VAT) and the maximum fee is 350 000 SEK (excl VAT). The fee is charged per licence, product group and production site.
Nordic Fees
When you register your Nordic Ecolabel in another Nordic country there is no application fee. But you pay the annual fee according to our list below. For more information, please contact the local Nordic Ecolabelling organisation.
For personal computers there is now a common Nordic fee of 0, 3 percent of the turnover for the Nordic Ecolabelled products. A maximum fee is 85 000 euro.
Denmark
Yearly fee 0, 3 percent of the turnover for the Nordic Ecolabelled products.
Minimum fee: 11 250 DKK
Maximum fee: 250 000 DKK
Finland
Yearly fee 0, 3 percent of the turnover for the Nordic Ecolabelled products.
Minimum fee: 1 200 EUR
Maximum fee: 34 000 EUR
Iceland
Yearly fee 0, 4 percent of the turnover for the Nordic Ecolabelled products.
Maximum fee: 200 000 ISK
Norway
Yearly fee 0, 3 percent of the turnover for the Nordic Ecolabelled products.
Minimum fee: 10 000 NOK
Maximum fee: 300 000 NOK
Fee for reviews
When criteria are revised, the licence is again reviewed and an application fee of 9 000 SEK (excl VAT) is charged. If a licence is expanded, for example with new products, an hourly fee is charged to do this work, but the maximum fee is 9 000 SEK (excl VAT).
