How to apply

If you’re interested in applying for a Nordic Ecolabel contact one of our handling officers who are specialized in printing companies. You will then be given access to our database with a list of approved chemicals and papers and our application help form. When you are finished, send in the application to us.

Once we’ve received your application you will again be given access to our database and in a convenient way be able to submit all the required information over a secure internet connection. When you’re finished, notify your handling officer at the Nordic Ecolabel.

How does the audit work?

When we have received your application and documentation from your suppliers, we will begin to process your application. This process can take several weeks depending on the amount of documentation required. Your handling officer will visit your printing company for an on-site control. Thereafter the handling officer will submit your application to our control director for final approval. If everything is in order and your company has fulfilled our Nordic Ecolabel criteria, your license will be approved.

How can I use the Nordic Ecolabel logo?

When the license is approved, we encourage you to market your company and your printed products with the Nordic Ecolabel logo. The logo can be placed discreetly on the printed objects, you may use it on your homepage and in all your marketing activities.
